Parents, feel free to take pictures and videos of your student during testing.
Important Notes for Students:
Answer these questions:
- Have you turned in your Black Belt Testing Application?
- Have you Turned in your Black Belt Thesis?
- Paid your testing fees?
- If you are testing for Black Tab, have you discussed your thesis topic with Mr. Howard?
If you answered "no" to any of these questions, please see Mr. Howard.
The week before testing:
- Remember your verbal; it's in the manual.
- Know both the meaning and number of movements of your pattern plus any additional verbal (memory) work listed for your rank.
- Take care of yourself — stay healthy, don't get hurt before testing.
Friday Night
- Pack your gear bag:
- Make sure your dobok is clean
- Don't forget your belt!
- Don't forget your sparring gear!
- Get a good night's sleep
On Testing Day
- Eat breakfast, then, have a light snack 1/2 hour before arriving.
- You may change into your dobok at testing facility.
- You did remember your belt and sparring gear, right?
- Arrive no later than 10:00 a.m.
- Check in at the Head Table when you arrive.
- Gently warm up on your own.
